Carving stamps

 

You can find a lot of fun things at the dollar store to use on your art work.  On my last visit I bought some packages of erasers (5 to a pack) for a dollar.  I practiced carving stamps with them.

I stamped all over an 8 x 11in. sheet of paper using all the design stamps with different ink colors. Then I did some doodling, added rubons and stamped a few words.  From this orignally designed paper I made a small pamphlet journal and a greeting card.

Fun doodle games and collages

MIxed Media Art

I just declared this piece finished.  It is a watercolor and mixed media picture.  I bought a black frame and plan to hang it in my great room.  The colors go with several art pieces hanging nearby. This started with a photo I took of the chair and pot. 

Afternoon walk

It was a beautiful day, lots of blooming plants and garden decorations.  I try to remember to take my camera with me when I go for a walk.  Look at all the great photos I wouldn't be able to send you if I left my camera home this day.

Doodled letters and designs and other photos

It's been a busy couple of months, no time to do any posts to my blog.  After returning to Lacey after a winter in AZ we went on a 14 day cruise in Alaska, this was after purchasing a new house about a mile away from our current home.  After returning from the cruise we were busy packing and getting ready to move.  We hired 'Friends and Family' movers for one big load with all the furniture, then made oodles of trips by car moving all the little stuff.  Moving is not fun.  Still lots to do in the house but things are comfortable enough for me to get back to creating art.
